SGA Lecture Series: Human Trafficking

Florida International University’s Student Government Leading The Way In The Fight Against Human Trafficking

 

January 4, 2013, Miami, FL., —The Student Government Council of the Modesto A. Maidique Campus, (SGC-MMC) in collaboration with I.M.P.A.C.T. and Camila Luna, is coordinating with state and local government officials including Florida state Representative Jose-Felix Diaz to bring awareness to the growing problem of human trafficking in our society and around the world.

 

On January 28, 2013, SGA and I.M.P.A.C.T. will be sponsoring the Camila Luna Human Trafficking event from 6pm-9pm in the Graham Center Ballrooms of Florida International University. The event will be an interactive seminar with the aim to educate students about the plight of those who have been made victims of this illicit trade, which experts refer to as the modern day slave trade.
