SGA Lecture: Education Reform

Florida International University’s Student Government is Revolutionizing Primary, Secondary, and Higher Education.


February 20, 2013, Miami, FL., —Student Government Council of the Modesto A. Maidique Campus (SGC-MMC) are coordinating with state and local government officials including Florida State Senator Anitere Flores to discuss and present practical solutions and reforms for our modern day Education woes.

On February 25, 2013, SGA will be sponsoring the K-16 Education Reform Lecture from 3:00pm-4:30pm in the Graham Center room 140 of Florida International University. The event will be an interactive seminar, which aims to explore various Education Reform initiatives and present workable solutions to better educate our communities


Florida International University students, as well as the general public, will have the opportunity to hear from various speakers including Florida State Senator Anitere Flores, Education Legislator; Dr. Maria Lovett, Education Effect Representative; Charles Perretti, Alternative Higher Education; and Alexis Calatayud, SGA Aim Higher representative; to discuss this longstanding and complex issue and its consequences from various reformative perspectives.
